I like white on white cards they are my favorite to make.  I used the cute toad from the set and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I cut a few leaves from the CTMH Flower Market Cricut cartridge & some flourishes I had in my die collection.

Christmas Tunes

You have arrived here from Michelle's blog we have 27 consultants participating in this spotlight hop.  If you lose your place while moving through the blog hop  the complete list of participating consultants can be found here.

This is a card I made using the stamp of the month.  I settled on the wreath image, which I embossed with gold embossing powder, cut out using a die I had in my stash, & fussy cut the banner in cranberry ink.

I've decided to show a tag I made with this stamp set, but I'm using Tattered Lace dies, which I love due to the intricate designs.  It's okay to use 'other' items in our stashes to showcase CTMH papers and stamp sets.

Supplies Used:
Close to My Heart Supplies
Exclusive Inks:  Cranberry
Exclusive Cardstock:  Cranberry. New England Ivy, White Daisy
Exclusive Patterned Paper:  Beary Christmas
Miscellaneous :  Gold Embossing Powder (retired), Value Card Bases, 3-D Foam Tape, Bakers Twine(retired), White Embossing Powder

Other:  May Art Ribbon, Gold Mirra card, Tattered Lace Dies, Designer Clear Glue, ATG Scotch tape, & Versamark Embossing Ink

Holiday Expressions Blog Hop

                       Welcome to the Annual
         Holiday Expressions Spotlight Blog Hop!

It's getting close to that time of the year for leaves to be falling, snowflakes drifting, and scrapbook papers rustling as we prepare for those moments with family and freinds that make life memorable.

You have arrived here from Daryls' blog we have 23 consultants participating in this spotlight hop.  If you lose your place while moving through the hop a complete list of participants may be found here.

I made a decision to create a layout without using any stamps.  I did use ink, but no stamps.  My goal was to create a fun holiday layout in about an hour.  The holidays are a busy time of the year with so many different events being held and snatching a few moment to relax and craft is a blessing.

I really like the Beary Christmas papers, complements, embellishments, and stamp sets.  This is one of my top 5 Holiday paper packs.  I tend to like traditional papers with cute reindeer, bears, Santa's and snowmen.  I like the magic of Christmas and the wonder in children faces as they look at all the amazing decorations. I think this paper captures that magic.

Now, finally you say, down to what I did.  I grabbed my trusty Make it from You Heart (MIFYH) Vol. #3, decided upon pattern 13, I used the zip strips from the picture my life pocket cards, two pocket cards, complements, Beary Christmas Dots, and New England Ivy Ink.

I used a simple technique that's trendy by getting a paint brush wet grabbing ink from the lid of my ink pad and splattered it on the White Daisy card.  It takes maybe two or three minutes to do this and it adds a layer of texture to the layout.  The rest is very simple I took the complements and used some  powder to make them easier to handle, since I used pop dots and foam tape to add more dimension.

Close to My Heart Supplies Used:

Exclusive Cardstock:  Fern & White Daisy
Exclusive Inks:  New England Ivy
Exclusive Patterned Paper:  Beary Christmas
Exclusive Complements:  Beary Christmas
Embellishments:  Beary Christmas Dots
Other:  Scotch ATG Tape & EK Tools Powder Tool

I adore this Stamp of the Month it can work for cards, layouts, and mini-albums. I've seen some adorable ones now here's an image of the set.

Welcome to the Annual Inspirations Spotlight Blog Hop!

You have arrived here from Melinda's blog we have 26 consultants participating in this spotlight hop.  If you lose your place while moving through the blog hop  the complete list of participating consultants can be found here.

I created a Welcome Baby card using some of the sweetest baby stamps & dies that I've seen in my 11 plus years with CTMH.

After I snapped the photo I felt I needed to add to the sentiment on this card.

I added the word baby and feel it completes the card front.

Even though this is a simple card I used 6 new products.  I used some pop dots to raise the Elephant & two of the balloons it adds interest. The new products I used are listed below.

Exclusive Inks:  Charcoal, & Pacifica
Exclusive Cardstock:  Heather
Exclusive Patterned Papers:  Basic Fundamentals, & Whimsy Fundamentals
My Acrylic Stamp Set:  Baby Animals
My Acrylic Stamps & Thin Cut Set:  Sweet Baby
Embellishment:  Basic Ribbon Roll & Watercolor Pencils
Other:  White Cards & Envelope Value Pack

Convention 2017 Report

My first official Convention Report!

I had a fabulously fun time at Convention this year.  I meet some amazing people and connected with a few old pals.  One of the nicest gal I've ever meet was Val from down under.  She was funny, friendly, and a blast to get to know.   I hope I see her again in Vegas!

I know its all about the products, so lets get into those.  A completely revamped basics color palette with black joining White Daisy in neutrals.  Two Toned cardstock the darker shade is the color that matches our inks with the lighter shade being complementary or as I like to call it second generation.
Is this gorgeous?  I love it and the new basic Fundamentals will knock your socks off!
The new colors are:
Charcoal, Pewter, Pebble, Linen, Mink, Heather, Espresso, Nutmeg, Toffee, & Almond.
There are beautiful together and with the new Color of the Year a combination that creates some of the most beautiful heritage scrapbooking I've ever seen.  It really motivates you to do more heritage layouts just to work with such a lovely palette as the one here.

Did I mention the Color of the Year?  It is Bashful!
Here are a couple of layouts I did at Convention that focus on this palette with that beautiful bashful.

The above layout focus on the gray colors in the palette accompanied by beautiful Bashful with accents of silver foiled complements.
This layout focuses on the browns in the palette with Bashful playing a staring role.  I'm a pink gal and I adore Bashful its one of those soft pinks that make you feel good when you view it.

That's my update on the Basics palette today and I'll be back tomorrow for more reveals and product information.  If you want to see it all now pop over to our online Annual Inspirations and get going on your wish list.  Email me if you need any information about our products or have questions about any artwork.

Thanks for dropping by and please leave me some love or suggestion on today's post.
