The Stamp of the Month program features an exclusive stamp set that is only available during the month.  You may purchase the D size set for 17.95, or with a purchase of 50.00 or more you may purchase the set for only 5.00.  Speak with your Consultant or contact me here.

My project this month is a layout that I created using Make it From You Heart Vol. II.  I adore our how too programs there is nothing else like it in the Scrapbooking and Cardmaking hobby.  We may have some imitators, but the are a pale comparison  to Jeanette Lynton's fabulous publications.  Jeanette is one Fierce lady!

I used pattern 11 on page 26.

This is both the left and right sides of the layout, now I need to add the pictures, then finish embellishing, love embellishing, some more layers, and decide on a title 'Sparkle and Shine' is the front runner, yet the image is small for a title.  I'll come up with a solution, but it will be exactly what I want to convey.

The layout is still going though my process.  I will come back and look at it again hours and sometimes days after I've started.  I decided to make this one about my son who is now studying at Chapman University in Orange California.  He love's California, and now understands why I will always call California home.
I'm working on picture selection, layering, and selecting embellishments.  I wanted to show how I work a layout this month.  I'm a traditional scrapper, and I forget about my Cricut, but I will use my dies I was think about my owl die since owls symbolize wisdom, which works for my son, since he has an academic scholarship.  I'll play some more and see where this goes.

Now I have the finished layout, and I'm pleased with how it came out.  I put a lot of thought into my creations.  I know that these will be left for future generations and I want them to know how we lived, what we thought, and what we achieved.

The bow reminds me of a bow tie, and Josh spent his High School days in ties.  He was always off to a different competition, or event.

The title elements are raised to give the layout a bit of dimension.

I usually have a hidden element on all layouts I make.  The three large pictures are all pockets, so I can put extra photos, or memorabilia, and sometimes a letter.  This might seem odd, yet I do note on the backs if the layouts contain hidden extras.
