It's Your Birthday!

Welcome to our January Art Philosophy Blog Hop! We are starting a new year of blog hops for you all featuring Close to My Heart's exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge is available exclusively through a Close to My Heart consultant.

This month we are featuring a "birthday" theme for you.  In this hop, you will see projects featuring this versatile cartridge from many talented crafty ladies!  Enjoy our blog hop!

If you came from Jennifer's blog  4 Hearts Scrapbooking then you are in the right place!

These are some easy and quick to create with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I've pledge to try and use up old paper that I have before I bought any new this year, BUT that didn't work out as you'll see coming up on Monday the 21st, and look for my 75 Creative Card Challenges that I'm launching on February 1st.   It follows the publication put out by Paper Crafts and I'd love to have you join along.  I'll be featuring Close to My Heart products only in this challenge and it will run M-F for 75 days!

Now back to these little Birthday creations.  These are perfect to drop off at your co-workers desk, or stash in you friends locker at school or the gym, put some lip gloss, nail polish, or chocolate in the heart.  I do believe that these were a gathering project a few Idea Books back, as I've said before I'm not re-inventing the wheel just having fun making cute things with paper.  Plus I love the artists at Close to My Heart.  The artwork always speaks to me, and I just have to make one or two for myself.

    Happy Valentine's

This beautiful stamp set is only $5 with a fifty dollar purchase.

In this hop, you will see projects featuring this beautiful stamp set from many talented crafty ladies!  Enjoy  our blog hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create.   If you came from Jennifer's 4 Hearts Scrapbooking Blog then you are in the right place!

It's 1am and I've just got everything finished up for this hop.  My life has been turned upside down, inside out for the last 2 and 1/2 half months.  First I've moved, but the remodel wasn't done, that left me bed hopping for 7 weeks while I waited.  The next issue was the carpet didn't seem to be anywhere in the Eastern US, so I waited 3 weeks for that! Grr...right after the carpet was installed, I was waiting for my new Sleep number to arrive, which I'd already rescheduled due to the carpet issues.  It arrived 4 days before Christmas, oh and that was interesting to say the least we had a house full.

My craft items are in boxes, I have no idea where my items are it takes me a long time to dig around to find what I need.  This is why I'm finishing at 1am...I went to Ikea today!  The Ikea is an hour and half away.  Spent 450.00 on Expedits, table tops, TV stand, wire, art you get the idea.  So hit home around 8pm, unloaded, veg'd in front of theTV and shot up at 10:30ish with an oh drat!!!  I need to make a card for the blog hop.

At this point my brain is done...old age...so I looked at the Smitten card that the artists at Close to My Heart created and decided I'm making one of those AND here is my version of that card.

Even though I followed the idea of the Close to My Heart artist I made this card my own.  It's similar, but at times it's to hard to think up an original idea and truthfully we don't need to reinvent the wheel every time we sit down  to craft.

    Supplies used:

    Colonial White card base
    Cranberry cardstock
    Clementine paper pack
    Champagne exclusive ink
    Saddle exclusive ink
    Sorbet exclusive ink
    Antiqued Gold Mini-Medley Collection
    Color Ready Garden Wood Shapes
    Mocha Opaques
S1301 January Stamp of the Month Happy Valentine's Day
