WOW, my life has been strange these last weeks.  I've moved faster then I ever thought I could,  I've picked carpet, paint, shower, doors, vanity, mirror, toilet, and my next  task is new furniture.  To top it all off I've been ill, and children are coming home for Christmas the house looks like hoarders live here with all my craft stuff stacked in the living room!  Once this is all done I will start posting again.

Sandy Update for W. PA

The storm is not as bad here as it is in other parts of the country.  I'm lucky I live in W. PA's mountain range.  We're having a lot of rain, backed-up sewers that flood the streets downtown, and tree branches flying around.  I live on top of a hill, so we don't have to worry about the flooding, but we have a ton of trees, so the concern is they may fall down on homes and cars.  My community is very lucky we haven't had anything to terrible happen.

The concern is that our rivers will start flooding.  We won't have any problems with the Allegheny the problems will arise in the Pittsburgh area as the rivers converge into the Ohio.  Locally we will have issues with French Creek, but we must wait and see how bad that gets.

Our power is working, but our net goes in and out.  I hope to get some items created to day, so I can post them tomorrow. My heart goes out to those in the communties hardest hit by Sandy, but I know the people of the US and our Gov't under President Obama will rise to the task of rebuilding NJ, Virginia, and NY he will not ignore these communities as Bush did with the victims of Katrina.

THE ARTISTE IN 3D BLOG HOP

Artiste in 3-D

Welcome to our The Artiste in 3D Blog Hop!  There are so many fun features  in our Artiste Cricut cartridge that we decided to showcase many of the 3D Objects

In this hop, you will see a variety of projects featuring the 3D Object key of the Artiste but don’t worry, you won’t need special glasses to see them!  (But we do hope our projects will “stand out” to you.)

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create   If you came from Theodora of Celebrate Crafts then you are in the right place!

I like two-tone items and this little container is perfect for it.  I cut out two boxes in Smoothie and White Daisy to create the look.  I did add in a cut from the Art Philosophy Cartridge which shows how well they work together.  Filled with Chocolate it's the perfect gift for a friend in need of a pick me up.

ATC "In the Pink"

I decided to call this artist trading card 'In the Pink'.  It is the only one that I made in this color combination.  Pink is probably my favorite color well it's tied with Purple.  I had fun playing with the shades of Pink in this. I did do one with a grey pup for a swap.  I told my self I would not do that much fussy cutting again!   All my supplies are from Close to My Heart.

This stamp set reminds me of our pup Sadie.

A little Artiste

I was playing around with the Artiste Cartridge and was thinking about making a pumpkin out of one of the bag/purse cuts, but I decide that I wanted to keep the bag. I'm lousy at bows, but I recently read  about the new bow maker by Unity in Papercrafts, so I placed my order, 3 days later I rec'd it and OMG it's now my favorite tool!  Now absolutely EVERYTHING is getting a bow.

I decided my bow on the favor box, next post down, needed to be bigger and I think it looks better now.

Fall Fun with Art Philosophy

Welcome to our Autumn Art Philosophy Blog Hop!

Each month we are showcasing our amazing Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge which can be purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant.

It's the time of year where leaves are changing colors, temperatures are dropping, the days are shorter, and the holidays are quickly approaching. This month we will be featuring projects with an Autumn theme made using the
Art  Philosophy Cricut cartridge!
http://priscillaspaperie.blogspot.com/
If you just happened to come upon this blog, you should start at the beginning by going to  Lucy's blog - Love 2 Create  If you came here from Amanda's Scraps of Love  then you're in the right place!

My projects are a favor box for Fall themed parties and an adorable card.

As a Fall baby I respond to the rich hues in our Flirty paper pack, which reminds me of the color of the leaves here in Pennsylvania.

This favor box is created with the Art Philosophy Cartridge and has some of my favorite colors the only thing missing is your favorite candy or loose tea to keep you warm on those chilly evenings. Grab a warm cup of yum and sit back and enjoy the wonderful artwork you'll see along the way, and I hope I've inspired you to create a little something for those special people in your life.

National Stamping Month Layout

This was supposed to make the National Stamping Month Blog Hop, but it didn't get included due to internet outage in my area that night.
Alright enough on the delay excuse here's the info on the products I've used and techniques I incorporated in this layout.

I took out create a shade pearl paint and followed the mixing instructions included with the spray pens.  I mixed up a solution of water and paint and then misted it on my Kraft cardstock.  I got it a bit to wet and the paper wouldn't straiten out that's when I decided to attach it to the Crystal Blue cardstock.  I stamped out my embellishments from the It's your Day stamp set.

Recipe:
CC 1012-It's Your Day My Acrlix Stamp Set

Happy Birthday Fernando!

This is the card I created for my son-in-laws birthday.  He's not yet 30 but getting close.  Fernando & Michelle finally made it back to the US after nearly 3 years in Seoul, which I got to check an item off my bucket list when I visited.
Fernando loves Motorcycles, and when I saw this stamp set I knew I had to have it, 'cause Fernando and bikes go hand in hand.  :^)

Fernando truly is born to ride!

Learned an Ink Technique!

Today I meet the fabulous Jen Starr!  If you don't know who she is let me explain.  Jen is a mixed media superstar, traveling the world and teaching.  I wished she had more time in our area, but she was only here for one day and I could only take one class.  I still have a hard time sitting that long, but we had breaks and I was able to walk around a bit. I'll be finessing my new skill, craft some new pages, and get my samples just right before I show them off.  I'm a perfectionist, so you know I spend my time torturing myself.  I digress...check out Jen's blog, she's an awesome lady and a talented artist.

Clementine

This is a card I made using the new Clementine paper pack.  I based the design on a similar card shown in the new Idea Book.  The Fall Idea Book is packed with awesome artwork, and is a wonderful jumping point to get those creative ideas going. Sorry for the image quality I just scanned the card instead of giving it a proper photo shoot! :^)

Oh My Darling Clementine you were lost and gone forever.......
This shows off the Clementine colors, as you can see they are muted yet lovely.

Supplies I used are:
Clementine Level 2 Paper Pack
Desert Sand Card-stock
Opaques
Harvest Happiness stamp set
