Welcome to the Close to My Heart Consultant Stamp of the Month Blog hop!
June's featured stamp set is the Long Way Home (S1606).

I'm Priscilla, and I'm happy you decided to view the hop today.   The artwork created by the participating consultants will give you an idea of what can be created with this stamp set and the hope is to inspire your creativity in your paper-crafting.  You've arrived here from Brenda's blog.  If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop or see the list of participants visit Melinda's blog.

This month I decide to do a layout.  I'm taking a trip this month and this stamp set is perfect for my road trip.  I used a pattern from the How-Too book Magic by Jeanette Lynton pattern is Illusion pg. 94.

I lightly tacked my photo place holders on as I know I'll pop one or two pictures off the page to give the layout more dimension or add some flip flaps.
I haven't taken my trip yet, so I have no idea what adventures I'll  have during the drive on my way to Tacoma to see my new Grandson.  I'll have many adventures to scrap once I get there!

Flowers created from the Happy Times exclusive stamp set by Close to My Heart (CC1064)

Fast & simple single page layout.  This layout is easy to pull together in under an hour.  I weighted the lower right side of the page because the foiled pink paper on the left is so gorgeous that I could not cover it up.  I plan to put this in a frame with a picture of my Mother from this upcoming Mother's Day.

The inside I placed fussy cut roses inside, but left the sentiment blank, since I feel this card can be used for many occasions.

I shaped and added pop dots to the banner for dimension.

For me I usually am very critical of the cards I make as I see all the flaws.  I happen to really like this card which is a surprises me.  I did a lot of fussing cutting and layering to make the card pop.

The supplies I used are listed below.
  • CTMH Exclusive Cardstock:   Black, Poppy, & White Daisy
  • CTMH Exclusive Ink:  Black, Poppy, Saffron, & Topiary
  • CTMH Embellishment:  Gold Foil Tape
  • Other:  Fine Detail Glue, & Gold Mirror cardstock
