Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring Cutie Pie

Close to My Heart's

'Cutie Pie'  Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Yours with a qualifying purchase of $50.00 or more, and check out the December special offer from Close to My Heart.  It's a great way to stretch your Holiday and Craft dollar.

My project is a cupcake box this month, since we have a cupcake themed stamp set.  I made the simple square box from the Close to My Heart exclusive Artiste collection.  I've done some paper piecing with a cupcake and the cupcake stand popped the embellishment off the box to give it a bit of dimension.  I'm not sure about the washi tape around the rim, but I'm still creating.  For some reason I thought it was 29th and that the hop is tomorrow, not today, at 6pm(Pacific time)

Use Your Stash!

Welcome to the Use Your Stash Blog Hop!

I'm a new participant in this group of ladies, and I look forward to future challenges.
The challenge this month is that we need to create a home decor item from our stash. For me it's a challenge on what to pick, as I have a very, very, very large paper craft collection of supplies.

If  you arrived here from Katy's blog your on the right path.
If  you've just found our hop be assured that you will see all the artwork, since the hop is actually one big circle.

We moved twice this last year.  The first move was from Pennsylvania back to California.  We originally leased a small home, and purchased one once we had the chance to look around.  We found a lovely home with the right amount of rooms.  I've been working on creating my craft room, and I keep finding boxes that say craft supplies!

I'm focused on Christmas at the moment.  We just put up our trees.  We have three this year, and we found every box of Christmas items except the one with the kids stockings.  I can't believe it I have at least 15 boxes of Christmas and the stockings are most likely in a box marked craft that I haven't unpacked!

I think this will be a nice piece for the Christmas Holidays.  I have a lot of shadowbox frames that I picked up at a discount store years ago.  I saw this idea on Pinterest, and I wanted to create my version of a jingle bell frame.

I used a piece of cranberry cardstock from Close to My Heart, A silver piece of cardstock from Anna Griffin's perfect layers set, jingle bells from craft supply, and the Close to My Heart exclusive Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.

I recently purchased a Cricut Explore and I wanted to weld the word jingle together.  I could not for anything figure out how to do this, so I thought negative space would look nice.

The bells are loose in the frame, so it's an interactive piece...a jingle version of a snow globe.
I have a feeling my grandson will love shaking the jingles.

Happy Holidays!

This purse card is found on pg. 6 in the Artfully sent handbook.   This card has 12 paper pieced purses that I picked out of my scrap pile.  It's fun, but time consuming.  The shape and images inside are from the stamp sets that come with the Cricut Artfully Sent collection.  This allows you to make cards the minute you open that box

Welcome to Our November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

I made a quick favor box to give to guest at Thanksgiving or any occasion.  This could be a gift with some chocolates, lip balm or ? in it for colleagues at the office or friends and family at the table.
This is very quick to make and a large assortment of  these bags can be done in an afternoon.  As we enter the Holiday Season our free time is limited, so we need faster, simpler, easier.

I used the Cricut Artiste Cartridge, Gold Shimmer Trim, Saddle exclusive ink, Neutral Metallic Bakers Twine, a piece of B&T from the Pathfinding paper pack, and It's the Little Things SOTM.

Now I need to decide if I like it with or with out the ribbon on the handle.
 Without Ribbon
With Ribbon

These is a box I created back in August for the New product blog hop, but that I did not use.  It was sitting in the closet undecorated.  I stamped a ton of flowers with 9 different inks and 5 different colors of  cardstock.  What I picked is a stylized version and all of it is scraps destined for the pail, but saved in a midnight fit of insomnia.

Happy Halloween!

Close to My Heart Consultants ShinHan Marker Hop

Welcome to our Blog Hop!

Today we are featuring the New ShinHan Art Markers that debuted with the Annual Inspirations this August.  The ShinHan Art Marker is an Alcohol marker that is made in Korea.   I happen to like Korean goods and find that they make quality items for artists, so I was happy to discover that Close to My Heart decided to carry the ShinHan Twin Touch when I was at the N. American Convention this Summer.

I'm thinking about Christmas, and I'm excited that we will be having Christmas in our new home.  I'm trying to convince everyone that 3 trees is still not enough!

I made a Christmas card it's simple and a great starting point for a beginner, which I am.  I'm not the best when it comes to coloring with markers, but I don't practice much which is something I'm working on remedying....finishing the craft room is the first on my list.

I used a retired stamp set, sorry, Season's Tweetings C1569.  It has a great wreath that I thought would be great to color with the ShinHan markers. I used New England Ivy, & Cranberry Cardstock, White Daisy card base, Shimmer Trim in Gold & Red, Archival Black, New England Ivy, and Cranberry Exclusive Inks.  I hope you like my simple card.

In my family we're all fans of multicolored lights & Ornaments.
