This layout is in celebration of my Mother.   She is 75 years old & recently she went to Michelle & Fernando's home in Tacoma.  Mom & Shell went to Pike's, which seems to be a tradition we always go to Pikes.   I happen to love the flower shots they got in the Market and this is a perfect set to celebrate the time they spent together.

I popped all the flowers off the pages to give this layout a dynamic look.

I used only Close to My Heart products.  Aren't they fabulous!!!?

  • Background & Texture Paper:  Zoe

National Poet's Day

Welcome to the Use Your Stash Blog Hop

This month we have a National Poet's Day challenge!  If you have a stash of supplies that are hanging around in drawers, cabinets, or boxes dust them off and join our hop!  We connect with each other via a Facebook group.  If you're interested send me an email and I'll get the information to you.

Were a small hop this month since a lot of folks are away settling their kids in college and getting ready for the upcoming school year or just taking a vacation from vacation.   You've hopped here from Shirley's blog so you're on the right path.

This is a challenge to use one of those older vellum quotes that I'm sure most of us remember all to well.  I know I had a few packs hanging around.  I had to search for one it was beat up, but it did the job!  I think I donated all of those several years ago.

The other option was to use a Picture My Life quote card.  You may not believe it, but I can't find any.  I thought I had Laughing Lola from a season or two back.  Yikes it tells me I have to much STASH!

Thank You for taking the time to view our hop and we hope you return next month to see some more artwork. Now hop over to Nicole's blog to see what she has created.

Welcome to the Artistry Blog Hop.  If you arrived here from Chris' blog you're on the right path. If you get lost or wish to start at the beginning of the hop visit Melinda's blog for the completely list of consultants participating this month.  Or you can keep on hopping and you will see all the artwork, since the hop is one big circle. Now it's time to see my page!

This page is completely lifted from a TOP SECRET , well maybe not that secret, book.   I fell in love with it, and I knew it would be the perfect page to start my new journey album.

The Flower Festival at the National Assembly in Seoul, South Korea
National Assembly is equivalent to our Congress in Washington, DC.

Images are from the new Artistry Cricut Collection

The Wreath is a background image on pg. 21, the flowers are an icon image also on pg. 21, and the leaves are an icon image on page 27.

I only use Close to My Heart products in my  paper crafts except for tools , and found objects.   Why I craft with Close to My Heart is that everything  works together, and they are right on trend with the designs of paper, stamps, & inks.  I can't ask for anything better.

Products Used:
  • Cardstock:  Flaxen, Sorbet, Sweet Leaf, & White Daisy
  • B & T Paper:  Zoe, & Paper Fundamentals Whimsy Collection
  • Stamp Sets:  Artistry Collection - Perfect Picture
  • Inks: Black, & Sorbet
  • Embellishments:  Bling Gems Gold Assortment, &  Poppy Thick Twine
  • Cricut Cartridges:  Artistry

I appreciate your time viewing my work.  Now it's time to move on to Lori's blog to see her work.

Framed

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
Our featured stamp set this month is Framed (S1508).  This lovely set has sentiments for all occasions and it coordinates with our new Artistry!  This set is a great set to have for the beginner and every stamper in between,  It's a must have stamp set in my opinion, and it can be yours for just $5.00!  Ask your Close to My Heart Consultant, or contact me to find out how.
At the moment the sizes & page info. is not on the carrier sheet, so please jot down the information for your Framed stamp set.

If you have arrived from Nikka's blog you're on the right path. If you get lost or wish to start at the beginning of the hop visit Melinda's blog for the completely list of consultants participating this month.  Or you can keep on hopping and you will see all the artwork, since the hop is one big circle. Now it's time to see some paper crafts!

I'm playing with signing my photos...I'll get it right sooner or later.

The three items I made using this set, some cardstock, card bases, ink, and the Artistry Cricut cartridge.

Simple and quick Valentines card dressed up with Shimmer trim and a few sparkles.

This card came into being when I embossed the Sorbet paper.  Originally I  thought I would make a card with three different pieces of embossed cardstock, but when I embossed the folder actually cut through the cardstock, so I went with it!  It was simple and fast.  AND I adore it!

This is my favorite item that I made with this set.
I love Christmas, and I collect Christmas stamps.  I have rarely let go of a CTMH Christmas set since I became a consultant in 2006.   I cut out the mittens and the overlay from the new Artistry Cartridge.  The cartridge just released, Aug. 1st, and it's a must have.  If you love Art Philosophy then Artistry is the perfect companion cartridge.  A must have in my opinion.

All of my supplies are from Close to My Heart.  I exclusively use Close to My Heart products with the exception of tools in my personal crafting.  The supplies I used in my creations are listed below.

  • Cardstock: Lagoon, Hollyhock, Sorbet, & White daisy
  • White value card bases
  • Shimmer Trim: Red & Teal
  • Slate Diagonal Striped Ribbon
  • Designer Creations Slate Paper Bags
  • Exclusive Inks: Black, Lagoon, Slate, Sorbet, Topiary
  • Embossing Folders: Chevron, & Hearts

Thank You!  I appreciate you taking the time to view our hop.  We have another featured hop on the 6th of August showcasing the brand new Artistry Cartridge which you may order now.  Contact your consultant or me I'd love to help.  Now it's time to move on to Judy's blog to see her artwork.

Thank You for viewing our Hop Today!

P.S.
I'm having fun playing with paper!
