I like white on white cards they are my favorite to make.  I used the cute toad from the set and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I cut a few leaves from the CTMH Flower Market Cricut cartridge & some flourishes I had in my die collection.

Christmas Tunes

You have arrived here from Michelle's blog we have 27 consultants participating in this spotlight hop.  If you lose your place while moving through the blog hop  the complete list of participating consultants can be found here.

This is a card I made using the stamp of the month.  I settled on the wreath image, which I embossed with gold embossing powder, cut out using a die I had in my stash, & fussy cut the banner in cranberry ink.

I've decided to show a tag I made with this stamp set, but I'm using Tattered Lace dies, which I love due to the intricate designs.  It's okay to use 'other' items in our stashes to showcase CTMH papers and stamp sets.

Holiday Expressions Blog Hop

                       Welcome to the Annual
         Holiday Expressions Spotlight Blog Hop!

It's getting close to that time of the year for leaves to be falling, snowflakes drifting, and scrapbook papers rustling as we prepare for those moments with family and freinds that make life memorable.

You have arrived here from Daryls' blog we have 23 consultants participating in this spotlight hop.  If you lose your place while moving through the hop a complete list of participants may be found here.

I made a decision to create a layout without using any stamps.  I did use ink, but no stamps.  My goal was to create a fun holiday layout in about an hour.  The holidays are a busy time of the year with so many different events being held and snatching a few moment to relax and craft is a blessing.

I really like the Beary Christmas papers, complements, embellishments, and stamp sets.  This is one of my top 5 Holiday paper packs.  I tend to like traditional papers with cute reindeer, bears, Santa's and snowmen.  I like the magic of Christmas and the wonder in children faces as they look at all the amazing decorations. I think this paper captures that magic.

Now, finally you say, down to what I did.  I grabbed my trusty Make it from You Heart (MIFYH) Vol. #3, decided upon pattern 13, I used the zip strips from the picture my life pocket cards, two pocket cards, complements, Beary Christmas Dots, and New England Ivy Ink.

I used a simple technique that's trendy by getting a paint brush wet grabbing ink from the lid of my ink pad and splattered it on the White Daisy card.  It takes maybe two or three minutes to do this and it adds a layer of texture to the layout.  The rest is very simple I took the complements and used some  powder to make them easier to handle, since I used pop dots and foam tape to add more dimension.
