Close to My Heart Consultants ShinHan Marker Hop

Welcome to our Blog Hop!

Today we are featuring the New ShinHan Art Markers that debuted with the Annual Inspirations this August.  The ShinHan Art Marker is an Alcohol marker that is made in Korea.   I happen to like Korean goods and find that they make quality items for artists, so I was happy to discover that Close to My Heart decided to carry the ShinHan Twin Touch when I was at the N. American Convention this Summer.

If  you arrived here from Pam's blog your on the right path.
If  you've just found our hop be assured that you will see all the artwork, since the hop is actually one big circle, but if you'd like to start at the beginning, want a list of all the blogs, or get lost visit Melinda's blog.

 I'm thinking about Christmas, and I'm excited that we will be having Christmas in our new home.  I'm trying to convince everyone that 3 trees is still not enough!

I made a Christmas card it's simple and a great starting point for a beginner, which I am.  I'm not the best when it comes to coloring with markers, but I don't practice much which is something I'm working on remedying....finishing the craft room is the first on my list.

I used a retired stamp set, sorry, Season's Tweetings C1569.  It has a great wreath that I thought would be great to color with the ShinHan markers. I used New England Ivy, & Cranberry Cardstock, White Daisy card base, Shimmer Trim in Gold & Red, Archival Black, New England Ivy, and Cranberry Exclusive Inks.  I hope you like my simple card.

In my family we're all fans of multicolored lights & Ornaments.

I used Snowhaven Background and Texture paper, Glacier, White Daisy, Whisper, and Black Cardstock.  I cut the shapes with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for the tags.   I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge to create the box for the tags.    I did some paper piecing to add interest.  I created a bit of sparkle with the Bitty Sparkles, Sparkles, and used a few  White Enamel Stars.    I also used a Hostess only stamp set 'Be jolly' for the sentiment inside the box.

We are having a blog hop on the 6th of October to showcase our new Shinhan Markers.  Please stop by to view our hop.

Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop

Welcome
 To the Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop!

This blog hop is celebrating the Arrival of all the new FABULOUS products in
Close to My Hearts Annual Inspirations.  If you arrived here from Lori's blog your on the right path.  If you've just found our hop be assured that you will see all the artwork, since the hop is actually one big circle, but if you'd like to start at the beginning, want a list of all the blogs, or get lost visit Melinda's blog for a list of all the consultants participating.

I'm focusing on two My Reflections paper packs the first is Snowhaven.  I adore Snowhaven and all the wonderful stamp sets that work with this versatile paper pack.  Snowhaven lets you celebrate Christmas or all the fun things you can do in Winter including just hanging out in front of the fire place.

Featured stamp set is Best Christmas D1613
Showing the dimension of the box achieved by using foam tape.

I do not feel this box is as successful as the one I did with the Brushed paper.  It's very hard to see the pattern on the black B&T paper.  The pattern is of subtle snowflakes in very lovely gray.  I should of picked another B&T, but sometimes we all make things that are not quite right.  My Inspiration for the boxes come from the new Annual Inspirations on pgs. 78 & 98.

 Products Used

* X7188B Snowhaven My Reflections paper pack
* D1613 Best Christmas
Z2105 Exclusive Inks - Black
* Z2641 Exclusive Inks - Glacier
Z2116 Exclusive Inks - Cranberry
*Z1987 Striped Twill Ribbon Cranberry
Z1790 Artiste Cricut Collection
* New Product

Brushed is the second paper pack I'm focusing on.  I made the same boxes from our Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  Brushed is all the promise of Spring & Summer, and perfect for Bridal Showers.  My favorite new colors are Pixie & Thistle.  Brushed features Pixie.  Pixie is a gorgeous pink, and while I love Pixie it is hard to say goodbye to an old favorite Blush.  I know very sad.

 Featured stamp sets on this favor box are D1602 A Budding Friendship, B1454 Thanksgiving Wreath, & D1623 Brushed WOTG
 Using a bit of foam tape gives the box a bit more dimension.

 Products Used
*G1087 Brushed WOTG
My Acrylix Stamp sets:
*D1602 A Budding Friendship, *B1454 Thanksgiving Wreath, & *D1623 Brushed WOTG

Free to Be Me-National Scrapbook Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the National Scrapbook Month Blog Hop

_________________________________________________

If you have arrived here from Jen's blog your on the right path.

The layout patterns are from the How To book Magic this pattern is Showtime.
Trying out a different view
The is the Final Act Pattern.
This is a layout I'm working on and I'll post it as soon as I get it finished.

I want to add Dachshund shapes under the title.  The dog in the picture is Sounder and he's one B.A.D dog.  He's a sweetie, but full of energy, he's a part of the family and we all love our fur buddy.

I did not do any stamping on this layout showing that stamping is not a necessity with our products.  I've had more then a few tell me that they're not interested in stamping, and while we are a stamping company we're equally a scrapbooking company.

Now hop on over to Michelle's blog to see more fabulous creation with the Free to Be Me paper pack.
